“Papa, can we use your tools for something?”

“Sure. Wait, what for?”

“Just to see what’s in this seed we found.”

“You’re not going to destroy the boat, right?”

Plenty of color around Christiansted. It’s typical of the type of towns we like, being really rough around the edges, but with enough color and character to make things interesting.

Our family discovered this new invention that chops veggies for you. No knife involved. What? Not new? Anyway, we were excited to whip up a quick batch of pico de gallo. It’ll take some perfecting.

I think we have more Lego people than we do the coveted white 4-piece blocks we always seem to need.

Pro tip: when playing the kids, don’t place any ships around the edge.

Went for a hike up Goat Hill. Not surprisingly, the name was a misnomer. Not a goat to be found.

On the way up the hill we were surprised to hear a truck grinding its way slowly somewhere up above us. When we finally got to the top we spotted a Jeep, and the owner, who also happens to be a St. Croix friend and Wanderer subscriber. Our kids are constantly saying, “Ughh, why do you know people everywhere we go?” It’s hard not to laugh.

  1. Say, what handy dandy kitchen chopper did you buy? I’m thinking about getting one for my RV. Might be less messy than a knife and cutting board.

I really enjoyed the pictures. You’re right about the mix of rough yet colorful.

    Safe travels!

  2. There’s a place on Back Street in San Pedro, Belize that sells cow foot soup on certain days, probably the same thing. I’ve heard it’s a delicacy and quite yummy, but we don’t eat beef, so we never got to find out.

  3. Okay, so tell “Rick & Brock the dog” what kind of broken stupid chopper you have so they DON’T buy that brand by mistake!
