Antigua History

Antigua is chock full of beautiful ruins to walk around. They all just make a nice place to spend an hour, whether or not you are interested in their history. They are like a small park in the States where you might go to just get away from the hustle and bustle and have a picnic. And even though they are historical places, nobody here cares if you show up with a picnic basket, either.

We took Grandma on a ride up into the mountains to a hostel/restaurant place that was nicely out of the way. A few miles up in the mountains, and then a few hundred yards down a dirt path to a beautiful view.

Not sure what was going on here. Tough girl.

Girly girl.

Discussing mustaches. The subject always comes up whenever Emiliano Zapata is around. I think by this point we could all name more historical Mexican figures than we could American. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out later in life.

Took some time, but finally figured the helicopter out.

The view from inside yet another museum. Haha, sorry kids, this is what happens when you don’t go to normal school.

So many layers.
