About Town

Another Sunday riding the streets of Guatemala City.

We hit the mall to get Ouest some new kicks since she grows daily and had toes poking out of her shoes. Now up to a size 6 1/2 I can no longer distinguish between her shoes and Ali’s.

Walked right up and threw a strike on the first ball of the day. Pretty good form, too. Lowe has never enjoyed our bowling outings all that much, so it’s fun to see him get excited now that he’s big enough to really hold the ball and give it a good toss.

Casa Mima, a late 1800s house in the centro area of today’s downtown. Pretty neat to see how the upper class lived back then, with most of the items in the house from the early 1900s.

Figured out what to get Ali for her birthday. A painting of me, and a brooch with a copy of the painting. She’ll love it.

It’s difficult to simply walk in a straight line when you could be hopping in circles.

Lunch time. We no longer have to pack a lot of kid’s items when we head out for a walk, but having a couple cars in the backpack can still go a long way towards a good meal.
