Christmas Prep

The annual tradition of writing out Christmas lists to mail off to Santa continues. The kids, thanks to a Berenstain Bears book we read them when they were little, have always believed that they shouldn’t ask him for more than three things. Anything more and they would come across as selfish, and possibly end up with nothing. So, without further ado:

Lowe would like a new Fitbit, a briefcase, and a surprise.

Ouest would like a Fitbit, walkie-talkies, and a surprise. And she’d also like to make sure that Chavo (the Guatemalan street dog we rescued) has a great Christmas too. And with these lists I am once again reassured that we are raising wonderful kids.

The rains showed up as predicted, and then wouldn’t stop. For four days. I can’t remember a longer stretch without sun on our faces. Of course, kids don’t mind a bit of rain. Only our pile of laundry really suffered.

In the Rain

Pretty much ruled out snorkeling for a little while.

After the Rain

Back inside it was time to decorate for Christmas. We scored a beauty of a tree this year.

  2. I Love waking up to your posts, puts a smile on my face every time. The kids are so creative, love the homemade ornaments, I still have the ones they made me hanging on my tree. You make Christmas look magical, so glad you still have the hat, i don’t think you’ll ever pull off looking like the big guy. It’s not in your genes to be a heavy guy.
Happy New Year to you all! Can’t wait to see the new adventures ????

  3. Hope your holidays are happy and healthy. Wishing you all the best on your travels. The kids are so smart and sweet.
