Daredevils

We were out for a walk today when the kids got to playing on a small hill at the edge of a nearby parking lot. It’s not a big hill, but all Ouest had to do was lift her feet up and by the bottom of it she was hauling butt. She would bounce across the grates at the bottom and they would rattle and she would laugh, and right behind her Lowe would come barreling at full speed pushing the stroller. The two of them did this for an hour. They’d walk up together, turn around, and fly down it as fast as they could go. Just about every person that walked past stopped to watch them for a turn or two and almost without fail they’d say to us, “You’ve got a couple of daredevils there.” Our kids are going to have so many scars.

  1. Where’s Ouest’s helmet, knee and elbow pads? Oh wait… Never mind.

P.S. Not sure what is required in the U.S. for stroller pushing 😉

  2. We still have videos of our daughter rolling down the hill in our backyard in the same little red car that you keep on deck. Give that a try! On the other hand, if it’s become brittle from being in so much sunlight on deck, you don’t want it shattering. Have fun!

  3. A few ouchies are a normal part of childhood. Good to see that your kids are allowed to play without wearing a suit of armor.
