Monahans Sandhills State Park

At the end of our Thanksgiving week we were ready to blow off some steam. Monahans Sandhills State Park was the perfect place to do that.

Lowe and I made some videos that started with a brawl at the top of the hill and ended with dramatic tumbled down the dunes. We were both digging sand out of our ears for a week.

If you go to Monahans you have to venture further back into the dunes to find the good steep ones. Most people stick close to the parking lot and can’t get their sled down the hill.

  1. This was my “backyard” growing up in Odessa. It was a favorite with out of town family when visiting. We’d also take our horses out to the Imperial Sandhills south of there.

  2. You all do know how to have a good time. Hope you had a Merry Christmas with Grammy. All our best for your adventures in 2022, Stay well and Happy Trails to you!

  3. Pat, that last photo of you…..you look like a western outlaw up to no good ❗️🤨 Planning on rustling some cattle 🐄 are we ❓😄

  4. Pat, the picture of you and Lowe sitting at the table looking at the video camera…..Is that the new video camera you bought maybe over a year ago to replace the GoPro? I have been trying to remember the brand name of it and can’t. Do you still prefer it to the GoPro? Thanks for any info.

  5. Thank you Ali for the camera info. I appreciate it very much. I think I will look into purchasing the DJS Osmo Cam. Thanks again!
