Ouest and I went to take a look at the boat. Again, it’s still there. Which is nice. I wonder if people ever steal sailboats? Not just rob them, but motor out of the harbor and raise a sail never to be seen again. Seems so easy to do. Companionway hatches could be opened by a five year old with a screwdriver. And in just about any boat you’ll find the keys in the ignition or hanging on a hook within five feet of it. Plus, what do you have to do, get twelve miles offshore and you’re in international waters? Man, somebody talk me out of this.

Boat continues to weather the Mexican summer very well. Despite the daily downpours we don’t appear to have any leaks. And as an added bonus from the rain, the boat looks like we’ve had somebody there washing it daily. It’s absolutely spotless. And to top it all off our woodwork looks incredible. So glad we had all the varnish sanded off.

I don’t know what got into Lowe, but about a week ago he discovered the art of the tantrum. Well tantrum isn’t the right word, but now when he doesn’t get something he wants he flops to the floor with his head on his arm and fake cries. Ouest is a champion at squeezing out exactly two tears, but poor Lowe hasn’t figured that part out yet. He is incredibly dramatic though and deserves points for trying so hard.
