  1. Nothing crappy about that…just part of an exciting engineless adventure. Like the photo/film techique (what’s the setup), it makes you look real busy. In comparison, I usually lie in the cockpit for hours contemplating the brim of my sombrero.

  2. Great video!

I’m amazed you had enough electricity for the trip. I didn’t see the wheel move, so you had the autopilot running. You don’t have solar panels, and the engine was inoperable. Did you run the autopilot 24/7 for 6 days on the batteries?

    Thanks!

    Eric

    1. I actually brought solar panels back down with me on this trip, so while they aren’t mounted yet, I did go ahead and run the wiring and then lay one out on deck during the day. And while the engine couldn’t actually propel me anywhere it was still able to run. I ran it a little bit each day and changed the oil every two hours of run time. Twice on the trip actually.

  3. Hi to all.
    I agree with Horatio.
Nothing is crappy. It is all part of the voyage.

    boat intact.

You have posted some terrific blogs in the past.

Pull the head and go from there [ maybe we are looking
    in the wrong direction.

  4. You’d a made it. Sometimes you just have to pull the plug to maintain your sanity however. She is a beautiful yacht. You’ll get over it. That Ali, . . . she’s a “keeper”
    .

  5. Really cool video with eerie, haunting music. Very well-done, and kudos to your creative way in getting back into San Carlos.
