As promised Ouest laced up the skates this morning and took off down the driveway. Though she did accept some help. And yes, she did indeed do the jump trick.

The nice thing about having cousins ten years or more older is that grandparents never throw anything away. This means that the giant Barbie Jeep is still around, and somehow still running strong. We even got the built-in boom box working. The kids loved it. And I’ve decided that probably the greatest feeling in the world is seeing your two kids laughing and smiling while playing together. Those genuine smiles and laughter actually do make my chest swell up a bit.

The whole family was home in the afternoon for pizza and kids toy wars. Somehow the plastic eggs became weapons and oh boy did Ouest and Lowe take notice. Their eyes were as big as saucers watching the eggs get thrown as hard as possible off of people’s heads. Good times.
