Slow Life

Ouest and I snuck out during Lowe’s nap today for a hike and a picnic. The hill we attempted to summit was made up of rock that crumbled upon being touched. So much so that we had to give up on reaching the top and settle for a picnic at Base Camp 3 instead.

That and a couple of trips to the beach pretty much rounded out our day. We are on the slow track right now.

  1. So we went to a movie the other day, and at the end when they were showing the ‘happily ever after’ scene it was of the dad on a beach, pants rolled up, hair blowing in the breeze, tossing his kids around as the whole family played in the surf… and the thought that I had was that you guys are living *exactly* this happily-ever-after ending, except it’s your every-day and it’s what Ouest and Lowe will grow up with their whole lives. And that is freaking cool. Makes us both re-think the kids-on-boats question 😉
Keep enjoying Baja & we’ll look for you guys next year!

    1. Thanks Leah. Sometimes it becomes so routine to us that it’s nice to get a reminder that this isn’t everybody’s reality, and that it’s an incredible gift.

Totally! Rethink the kids on boat thing. It’s super easy! 😉

Just caught up with you. See you’re down way south. Great job getting into Chiapas. Always an adventure isn’t it?

      See you next season.
