Ouest was up in town with friends one afternoon when she texted me, “There’s a huge celebration going on in centro.”
She wasn’t kidding.
Día de la Raza a day that honors Indigenous peoples. Lots of amazing costumes and dance. Four generations often dancing down the street together.

I did notice in one picture, a guy holding a baby & covering his face? I’ve often wondered about taking photos, though most folks seem fine sharing their faces with you-& such fun faces they are too!
