Waking up in Bath, England was quite nice. The views are scenic no matter where you look.
The Roman Baths. I could go on and on about how neat the history of this place was, but so can Wikipedia. Suffice to say we thoroughly enjoyed the visit, and I thought all the displays were excellent. It really gave you a sense of what this place was like nearly 2,000 years ago now.
From the Baths we headed for the River Avon for an enjoyable river cruise. Learned some random fun history, saw the marks of the floods dating back centuries, and took in the Pulteney Bridge and the Pulteney Weir from a different angle.
During rainier times of year you don’t get to see the Pulteney Weir, but during this dry summer season it makes for a picturesque scene with the Pulteney Bridge behind it.
