Stay Put

Woke up to more strong southerlies today, decided to stay put, and then watched two other boats motor out straight into it. The first was a charter boat and all I could think was that those boats must take a terrific beating being sailed by people that have no choice but to return the boat on a certain date and time. To the charter boat’s credit though, they did raise sails, which is more than I can say for the cruisers that went out after them. Cruisers don’t sail, they just motor around in sailboats.

The wind died down this afternoon and we’re hoping it holds that way through tomorrow so we can continue towards La Paz. At this point the good food is all gone and we’re also starting to wonder just how much longer our water will hold out.
