Walking Old Town

This morning we went out for a walk, had a snack at a new to us café that Ali had spotted a few days earlier, and then explored a few streets that we hadn’t been up or down before. I love the color and the faded rough edges that are found throughout Mazatlan.

  1. I cant wait to see what your kids do when they grow up! I hope they continue on the legacy.

btw pat…The options trading is going very well for me because of your book. Thanks!

    1. I hope they blow anything I’ve ever done right out of the water.

Awesome to hear about the trading. We’ve gotten a lot of comments like yours. I think the book turned out to be the perfect primer for those new to options trading.

  2. I’m amazed at how clean the streets are! The buildings may be old (character)and there may be grass growing along the curbs (urban nature), but damn those streets are clean!
Love the two guys checking out Ali in the second picture. A pretty woman is a pretty woman no matter what country you’re in, right Pat! 🙂

    1. There are people out sweeping the streets each morning. Our street gets a dusting every morning around six. I assume they are city employees. Anyway yes, the streets are clean. Now if somebody could just come through here with a power sprayer…

  3. Hahahaha! Those men checking out your beautiful wife! Did you take the picture to capture that, or was it a funny accident? You and your family make my dreary day.

    1. Funny accident. I’ve got a couple snaps before and a couple afterwards. I didn’t even notice it until I was going through the pictures later. 🙂

    1. I feel the same way. It’s fun to look at real estate and dream about owning a second place, but financially it makes so much more sense to just rent. We could rent the most luxurious place we’ve ever lived, in Mazatlan, for maybe $1500 a month. Even if you lived down here four months of the year you are only talking $6,000, versus how much for the pain of owning a place? Not to mention you are then free at any time to simply move on and try out another city. All these Norte Americanos that live down here for like a month a year yet own a $200,000 condo that they then rent to us for like $800 a month, just make no sense to us.

      1. the fun of owning a home in Mexico is owning a colonial and restoring it. Other than that, i see no need for it (even though you guys wouldn’t even need a fide).
