Sayulita Days

So this is pretty much what we’re up to these days. It didn’t take us long to slip into a routine. The kids wake up and wander out of the bus to play around the campground and have breakfast. After that we are off to the beach with boards, umbrellas, bags of toys, and a couple of cold beers from OXXO. It’s a bit early, sure, but it’d be just plain silly to sit on a beach with a cup of coffee.

Afternoons the kids have done a great job of finding things to do. They’ve got free reign around here, other friends, and lots of adults keeping eyes on everyone. It’s sort of a loose-knit beach community. Our kids have changed so much in just the last couple of months. Beginning with the Porsche road trip they just sort of—finally—became friends. They are playing together a lot more, watching out for each other, and always asking what the other is doing or if they want to do something together. They’ve still got pretty different interests, but more and more they are finding some middle ground.

Evenings we’re off to the tortuguero to release the turtles. Ouest wanted to help out there so they let her hand out the baskets of turtles to the tourists, and then she runs around picking all the baskets up when they are done. She is taking great pride in her work.

It’s a pretty good gig, no doubt about it. RV life here in Sayulita is the ticket. Right on the beach, and just a couple blocks from the center of town, it would be hard to find a better set-up than this for living the surf bum life.

    1. Thanks, Miami. I actually am offering it now. I originally offered it up through Patreon (www.patreon.com/bumfuzzle). Filled up those 13 slots in a couple of hours. Will be adding a few more in the coming months.
